QUESTION 1

Do you have insurance cover?

I am insured with Westminster Insurance. It covers £5 million public liability and professional indemnity.

A copy can be provided should you require it.

QUESTION 2

How much cleaning will you do?

I am not a professional cleaner but will help with general cleaning as we sort and organise.

If I feel that it requires a professional cleaner I will let you know in the process. I can arrange or you can source yourself.

QUESTION 3

Are you a member of an accredited body?

I am a member of Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers or APDO.

QUESTION 4

Do you work evenings or weekends?

My main working hours are in the daytime Monday to Friday. I understand this may be difficult on occasions so if I am needed outside those hours it can be arranged, but at an extra cost. This can be discussed in the half an hour session.

QUESTION 5

Do I need to be present at agreed sessions?

I will not do any of the three services - declutter/ organising or paperwork or garden sessions, without you present.

The idea is for you to learn and be part of the process so that after I have left it will be easier for you to maintain and carry on with this through your life.

QUESTION 6

Will I need to get rid of everything?

Not at all, I believe a house is not a show home it needs to be lived in and have memories around it.

There may be a need to let go of items but only to the level you are happy with.

What area do you cover?

I am happy to go anywhere but obviously there is a mileage cost which is on the website under 'How it would work.'

For a general idea I easily cover Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and South Somerset. The nearest towns and city to me are, Tisbury, Wilton, Shaftesbury, Salisbury, Warminster, Sixpenny Handley, Blandford, Gillingham (Dorset), Downton, Fordingbridge, Mere, Wincanton, Amesbury, Verwood, Wimborne and many villages in between.

Terms & Conditions

  • Cancellation Policy - When agreeing to an appointment this must be kept where possible. If any situation arises that requires cancellation to the appointment, it needs to be done 48 hours before the appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged for the missed appointment depending on the circumstance. If for any reason I am the one cancelling the appointment I will rearrange as urgent, I will not charge for an appointment cancelled by me.

  • Payment Policy - When agreeing to an appointment an invoice will be raised from the date of the appointment. An invoice will be sent via email, by hand or post, as agreed over the phone. This needs to be paid before or within 14 days of date of invoice. A reminder will be sent 10 days after the invoice date. If there is no payment in 14 days, I will cancel forwarding appointments until payment is received. If no payment is made, a final request will be given of 7 days and a notice of going through small claims route which includes interest and court fees. I accept bank transfers and cheques without any charges. Payments made by cash will incur a £3 fee each time to do this.

  • At certain times of the year, I will be reviewing my rates that I charge. Notice of a month will be given to anyone booked or thinking of booking an appointment.

  • I reserve the right to refuse to lift heavy objects, and seek additional assistance if required.

  • Personal Information Policy - Any details of personal matter such as name, addresses, photographs will only be gathered with your permission. This will be stored only for the purpose of this business and will not be passed on to anyone without your permission.

  • If you are a person that smokes, I ask that this is done outside while I am present.

  • No alcohol to be consumed whilst working with me.

  • I will only work with children in families with adult supervision.

  • I will not tolerate bad language or abusive behaviour and in the case that this arises I am in my right to leave and still request full payment of the session booked. All other appointments with you would be cancelled.

  • If at any point you no longer want my services or feel that I cannot help you anymore, all further appointments will be cancelled, and payment of sessions completed must be paid. No further action will be taken as long as all outstanding bills are settled, (see Payment Policy).

  • The only belongings I will take from the house are my own and any items that you have agreed to going to the Trussell Trust charity.

  • Please make me aware of any pets or issues I may face before the half an hour session that could affect the appointment.

  • I will maintain a current DBS for your peace of mind so that you can feel safe letting me into your home.
